Jon Pack, Proprietor

Jon Pack, ProprietorFor more than 20 years, I've been proud to participate in historical reenactments: Civil War, War of 1812, Mountain Man and Indian Wars. It's been a passion of mine, just as my woodworking has been.

In the past eight years, I've been creating period-authentic Bread, Ammo and Gulf Canning Boxes, along with foldable camp furniture. When my buddies at the reenactments and rendezvous kept asking to buy the containers and furniture I built for myself, I thought it was time to construct extras for sale. They've been a hit ever since.

All of my products are built to last for generations. My boxes are well constructed (often using dove-tail technique) with strong hinges and handles. My camp furniture not only looks good, but is strong, functional and folds neatly and easily into even the tightest storage areas. You'll be proud to display any ATS product at your historical event or get-together. Yankee or Rebal, if you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, I'll gladly replace it or refund your money*.

Suttlery?

Sutler: A provisioner to an Army Post, often established in a tent or wagon on the post. (Webster's)

During the Civil War, merchants followed the Army (usually during payday) to sell items to soldiers (and followers) which were not available or issued by the regular Army, e.g.: soap, writing papers, ardent spirits, shoes, boots, socks, and special storage boxes.
